DES.ek 9/7/72 o R DIN A N C E --------- N O. /d'~S ORJGiNAl SfP 18 '72 ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 2.20 AND 2.23 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL AND THE PLANNING COMMISSION THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 2.20 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 2.20. (a) Regular meetings of the Council of the City shall be held on the first four Mondays of each month, except when such Monday is a holiday as defined by the personnel rules and regulations of the City of Redwood City (excluding the provisions for administrative holidays). (b) Regular meetings of the Council shall be held at 7:30 o'clock P.M. in the Veterans Memorial Building, 1455 Madison Avenue, Redwood City, California. (c) All Council meetings shall be open to the public except for permitted executive sessions.1I SECTION 2. Section 2.23 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 2.23. Regular meetings of the Planning Commission of the City shall be held in the Veterans Memorial Building, 1455 Madison Avenue, Redwood City, on the days and at the hour designated by the Planning Commission by resolution adopted by such body and all such meetings shall be open to the public. Any meetings of the Planning Commission may be cancelled in advance by order of the Commission entered upon the minutes thereof. If any meeting is so cance11p.d, the secretary of the Planning Commission shall forward written notice thereof to each member of the Commission and to such other persons that request such notice and have filed their names and addresses with the secretary of the Planning Commission, unless such notice is waived in writing or unless the member in question is present at the meeting. Failure of any commission member or any other person to receive notice of cancellation shall not invalidate or otherwise affect the action of the Commission in cancelling the meeting. The provisions of Sections 2.21 and 2.22 relative to adjourned and special meetings of the Council shall be applicable to and shall govern the Planning Commission with the following modifications: The term 'Commission' shall be substituted for the term 'Council'~ the term 'chairman of the Planning Commission' shall be substituted for the term 'Mayor'~ the term 'secretary of the Planning Commission' shall be substituted for the term 'City Clerk'~ and the term 'planning Director' shall be substituted for the term 'Deputy City Clerk.'"
