<br />DES: yc: .1/" <br /> <br />iOJ <br />I J, <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />/ilfI. 19 '71 <br /> <br />o R DIN A N C E <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />It-If <br /> <br />ORDINANCE AIfJENDING SEc'rION 14.31 OF 'r'lIE CODE OF THE <br />CI'i'Y OF 1~ED\'700D crJ'Y RELl\TING T'O 'rBE S~In;;DULE OF <br />CW"RGES FOR H.EFUSE COLLECTION SERVICES <br /> <br />THE COUl'JCIL OF RED'dOOD CITY DOES ORDiUN AS FOLLmlS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. section 14.31 of Article III of Chapter 14 of <br /> <br />the Code of the city of RedvJOod City is hereby amended to read <br /> <br />as follO'vvs: <br /> <br />"Section 14.31 <br /> <br />The schedule of charges for sanitary <br /> <br />inspections and refuse collection shall be, based upon the <br /> <br />size of the container in which the refuse is deposited "end <br /> <br />is hereby established on a monthly basis for a once a wc(~k <br /> <br />service, as follows: <br /> <br />Capacity of Con t.z:; iner s Month 1y Rate for <br />Number of Gcl110ns Each Cont.a iner <br />1 to 20 $1. 70 <br />21 to 40 2.20 <br />41 to 60 2.70 <br /> <br />Service for collections from each container over 60 <br />gallons shall be charged for at the rate of four and <br />three-tenths cents per gallon. <br /> <br />'I'he foregoing rates shall not apply to service for <br />collections from bin-type containers usable with front <br />loader collection equipr,\Cnt containing refuse mechanically <br />compacted. Such services shall be charged on the basis <br />of each collection at the rate of $4.33 per cubic yard <br />of refuse or any fraction thereof." <br /> <br />SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be effective 30 days from <br /> <br />the date of adoption thereof. The provisions of this ordinance <br /> <br />shall be operative from and after the effective date hereof; <br /> <br />provided, however, that the rates established herein shall become <br /> <br />effective immediately following the completion of the billing <br /> <br />period in progress for any serviced premises on the operative <br /> <br />date of this ordinance. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br />
