<br />DES.ek 1/22/70 <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />1444- <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />ORD1.NA~CE <br /> <br />FtB 2 '10 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2.12 OF THE CODE OF <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY; AND, REPEALING SECTION <br />2.12.1 OF SAID CODE RELATING TO THE CONSOLIDATION <br />OF SPECIFIED CITY OFFICES <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. section 2.12 of Chapter 2 of the Code of the <br /> <br />City of Redwood city is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"section 2.12. <br /> <br />(a) Pursuant to the provisions of <br /> <br />Section 22 of the Charter, the offices of the City <br /> <br />Treasurer and City Collector are hereby consolidated. <br /> <br />(b) Any person appointed to such consolidated <br /> <br />office shall exercise and perform all powers, functions <br /> <br />and duties as are prescribed by sections 34 and 36 of <br /> <br />the Charter or as are otherwise prescribed by the <br /> <br />Charter or any ordinance or resolution, in the same <br /> <br />manner as if such offices were not consolidated." <br /> <br />SECTION 2. section 2.12.1 of Chapter 2 of the Code of <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City is hereby repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. The provisions of this ordinance shall be <br /> <br />effective thirty (30) days after its adoption; provided, <br /> <br />however, that the provisions hereof shall be operative from <br /> <br />and after January 26, 1970. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />T <br />
