<br />DES:yc: 9/23/6~! <br /> <br />ORIG!NAL <br /> <br />1rT :!7 "69 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE <br />---------- <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />/~33 <br /> <br />AN ORDIN}\NCE ADDING SECl'ION 9.4l.l TO THE CODE OF THE <br />CITY OF RED'imOD CITY, A!"lEG~ING SE<";TION 302 OF THE <br />UNIFOR?'-l BUILDn:G CODE, 1967 EDITIO~'J, VOLID1E 1, AS <br />PUBLISHED BY THE INTERNATI02JAL CO~TFERENCE OF BUILDING <br />OFFICIALS (SECOND p.RI:nn:G), HERETOFORE ADOPTED BY <br />REFERENCE, RELATING TO BUILDING PERNITS <br /> <br />l~1F.REAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 138l, adopted by the <br /> <br />Council of the City of Redwood City on December 16, 1968, said <br /> <br />City has adopted by reference, \~ith certain deletions, additions, <br />. <br /> <br />and amendments in said Ordinance No. 1381 set forth, the "Unifonn <br /> <br />Building Code, 1967 Edition, Volume I," as published by the <br /> <br />International Conference of Building Officials (second printing), <br /> <br />hereinafter called "the Building Code"; and <br /> <br />HHEREAS, evidence has been presented to the Council of the; <br /> <br />City of Redwood City, and said Council finds and determines that <br /> <br />the public interest, convenience, and necessity require that <br /> <br />Section 302 of the Building Code relating to building permits <br /> <br />be amended to allow exceptions to the expiration thereOf; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF.REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLL~~S: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Section 9.41.1 is hereby added to the Code of <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 9.41.1 <br /> <br />Section 302 of the Building Code is <br /> <br />hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 302. <br /> <br />(a) . Issuanc2... The application, <br /> <br />plans, and specifications filed by an applicant for <br /> <br />a permit shall be checked by the Building Official. <br /> <br />Such plans ma~' be reviewed by other departments of <br />the City to check compliance with the laws and <br /> <br />ordinances under their jurisdiction.
