<br />DES:yc:lO/10/69 <br /> <br />ORIG/ NAL' <br /> <br />a:r 20 'fB <br /> <br />o R DIN A N C E <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />1&/..3 0 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AME~~ING SECTION 10.4, REPEALING SECTIONS <br />10.9 AND 10.13, AND ADDING SECTIONS 10.9, 10.13, 10.14, <br />10.15 AND 10.16 TO CHAPTER 10 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO CIVIL DEFENSE AND DISASTER <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Section 10.4 of Chapter 10 of the Code of the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 10.4 <br /> <br />The Civil Defense and Disaster Council <br /> <br />created under tlie provisions of the preceding section shall <br /> <br />consist of the following: <br /> <br />II (a) The Mayor, who shall be chairman and director <br /> <br />of civil defense and disaster. <br /> <br />"(b) The City Manager, who shall be vice-chairman <br /> <br />and assistant director of civil defense and disaster, and <br /> <br />who, under the supervision of the director, shall develop <br /> <br />civil defense and disaster plans and organize the civil <br /> <br />defense and disaster program of this City, and shall have <br /> <br />such other duties as may be assigned by the director. <br /> <br />"(c) Such deputy directors and chiefs of operating <br /> <br />civil defense and disaster departments, services, or <br /> <br />divisions as are provided for by resolution pursuant to <br /> <br />this chapter." <br /> <br />SEcrION 2. Sections 10.9 and lO.13 of Chapter 10 of the <br /> <br />Code of the City of Redwood City are her~)y repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. Section 10.9 is hereby added to the Code of <br /> <br />the City of RedvlOod City to read as follows: <br /> <br />"section 10.9 <br /> <br />In t:he event of the proclamation of <br /> <br />a disaster as herein provided or by the proclamation of a <br /> <br />state of extreme emergency or state of disaster by the <br /> <br />Governor or the state Direct.or of Civil Defense, the <br /> <br />director is hereby empowered to: <br /> <br />T. <br />
