<br />DES:yc:12/2/68 <br /> <br />JIJI 6 "C') <br /> <br />o R DIN A N C E <br />--------- <br /> <br />N O. l.3r.J <br /> <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 5.20 AND 5.71 OF CHAPTER 5 <br />OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO <br />DOG LICENSE AND ANIMAL IMPOUNDING FEES <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. section 5.20 of Chapter 5 of the Code of the <br />City of Redwood City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 5.20 <br /> <br />An annual license fee of Four Dollars <br /> <br />shall be paid for every male dog and unspayed female dog <br /> <br />over the age of three months owned and harbored in this <br /> <br />City. An annual license fee of Two Dollars shall be paid <br /> <br />for every spayed female dog over the age of three months <br /> <br />owned and harbored in this City, upon presentation of <br /> <br />proof that such dog has been spayed. The annual license <br />fee shall be due the first day of January of each year <br /> <br />and any person who fails to pay such license fee within <br /> <br />60 days after the fee is due, or the dog is required to be <br /> <br />licensed, shall pay,a"peIlaity of Two Dollars in addition to <br /> <br />the paYment of the license fee herein required." <br /> <br />SECTION 2. Section 5.71 of Chapter 5 of the Code of the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 5.71 <br /> <br />The fees for animal shelter services <br /> <br />in impounding and caring for animals shall be as follows, <br /> <br />and no animal shall be released to its owner or keeper <br /> <br />before such fees are paid in full: <br /> <br />(a) For every horse, mare, mule, ass, bull, cow, <br />ox or calf, the sum of Ten Dollars, and also the <br />sum of Two Dollars per day for keeping each of <br />the animals, to be paid by the owner thereof. <br /> <br />(b) For every sheep, lamb, goat or hog impounded, <br />the sum of Five Dollars and also the sum of One <br />Dollar per day for keeping of each of the animals, <br />to be paid by the owner thereof. <br />
