NO. /.!J(, 'I ORIGINAL ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5 OF ORDINANCE NO. 1359 RELATING TO'CLASSIFICATIONS OF BUSINESSES WITHIN DOWNTOWN PARKING AND BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT AREA NO. 1 ,THE COUNCIL OF REm'WOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS l"OLLOvlS: SECTION 1. Section 5 of Ordinance No. 1359, entitled "An Ordinance Establishing Downtown Parking and Business Improvement Area No. 1 in a Portion of the City of Redwood City in accordance with Section 36000 et seq., of the Streets and Highways Code; Describing the Boundaries of said Area; Establishing the Rate or Levy of Additional Taxation by Classi- fication of Business within said District; and Stating the,Uses . to which the Revenues from such Taxation shall be put," adopted May 27, 1968, is hereby amended to read as follows: "SECTION 5. The additional rate or levy of the business license tax to be imposed within the parking and business improvement area established by this ordinance, and ,the breakdown by classification of business, are hereby fixed, levied, determine~ and established as follows: (a) Every person carrying on the business of manufac- turing, packing, processing 'or selling at whole- sale any goods, wares, merchandise or commodities at a fixed place of business within the clty of Redwood City shall pay no additional tax hereunder. (b) Every person conducting, managing, carrying on or engaging in any business, profession or occupation hereinafter enumerated shall pay an additional tax in an amount equal to 'one-half times the business licehse tax otherwise payable under Article V (commencing at ~32.10l) of Chapter 32 of the Code of the city 'of Redwood City: Attorney at Law Book Agent
