<br />REG.ek 9/19/57-7 <br /> <br />ORD1.NANCE <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />I ~3() <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE MUNICIP~L TRANSIT FUND <br />~.ND APPROPRIATING THE SUH OF $lOO,OOO THERETO FOR <br />EXPENDITURE IN CONNECTION WITH THE OPERP.TION OF A <br />TRANSIT SYSTEM, INCLUDING ACQUISITION OF TRANSIT <br />VEHICLES <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REm-lOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLO"\'lS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. section 2.41.6 is hereby added to the Code <br /> <br />of the city of Redwood City to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 2.4l.6. A special fund to be known as <br /> <br />the 'Municipal Transit Fund' is hereby created. All <br /> <br />monies received from the operation of a transit system <br /> <br />owned or operated by the City shall be deposited in such <br /> <br />fund together with such additional funds as may be from <br /> <br />time to time appropriated hereto. The monies in this <br /> <br />fund shall be expended solely for the operation, main- <br /> <br />tenance and management of a transit system and related <br /> <br />facilities, including the acquisition of vehicles and <br /> <br />the construction of permanent transit system facilities." <br /> <br />~ECTION 2. Notwithstanding the provisions of Sections <br /> <br />2.4l.1 and 32.8 of the Code of the City of Redwood City, the <br /> <br />sum of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is hereby <br /> <br />appropriated from the Sales Tax Capital Outlay Fund to the <br /> <br />Municipal Transit Fund to be expended for the purposes set <br /> <br />forth in Section 2.4l.6 of the Code of the City of Redwood City, <br /> <br />including the acquisition of transit vehicles. Said sum of <br /> <br />one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is hereby appropriated <br /> <br />from the said Sales Tax Capital outlay Fund as follows: <br /> <br />(a) The sum of seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) <br /> <br />is hereby appropriated from those funds heretofore appropriated <br /> <br />for a fire station f~cility in the vicinity of Jefferson and <br /> <br />Highland Avenues. <br /> <br />._." _..._._M.,e.".........'''~~~_4.,____.,~._''.'n.'"'"_.___., <br />
