<br />WHK: yc: 7 /lO/6 7 <br />I <br />7 /14/67 Re~t <br />~ I <br /> <br />o R DIN A N C E <br />--------- <br /> <br />N O. 1~;wJ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE A~lliNDING SECTIONS 32.146, 32.147 AND <br />32.l49 OF ARTICLE V OF CHAPTER 32 OF THE CODE OF THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO THE IMPOSITION OF <br />LOCAL TAXES <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CI'l'Y DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. section 32.146 of Article V of Chapter 32 of <br />the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby amended to read <br /> <br />as follows: <br /> <br />"section 32.l46 <br /> <br />Every person carrying on the business <br /> <br />of selling at retail any goods, wares and merchandise or <br /> <br />commodities, or conducting, maintaining or carrying on any <br /> <br />trade, occupation, calling or business for which a license <br /> <br />tax is not specifically provided by this article, shall <br /> <br />pay a license tax based on the following rates: $20 per <br /> <br />annum plus $7 per annum for each employee for the first <br /> <br />nine employee s in exce'ss of one; plus $4 per annum for each <br /> <br />of the next ten employees, plus $2 per annum for each <br /> <br />employee in excess of 20. The maximum annual license tax <br /> <br />shall be $300. The business of selling at retail as used <br /> <br />in this section shall include but shall not be limited to <br /> <br />the following businesses: <br /> <br />Appliance Sales &/or Service Cabinet Makers <br /> <br />Art Shops Cafes, Restaurants <br />Aubomobile Sales <br />Automobile Servicing & Repairs Candy stores <br /> <br />Automobile Supply Stores cat.alogue Herchandising <br /> <br />Bakeries Caterers <br /> <br />Boat Sales Cesspool Services <br /> <br />Bookstores <br /> <br />Children's Shops. <br /> <br />Bottling vTorks <br /> <br />Clothing <br /> <br />Butcher Shops , <br /> <br />Coin Shops <br />
