'WEEDS, DIRT, RUBBISH, AND RANK GROWTH IN TEE CIT~ OF REDWOOD CITY T}-:;E COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SEC'I'ION 1. Article IV of Chapter 14, Sections 14.38 through 14.52, of the Code of the City of Redwood 'City is hereby repealed., S~C~ION 2. Article IV of Chapter 14, Sections 14.38 through 14.51, is hereby added to the Code of the City of Redwood City, ~o read as follows: II Section 14.38 All weeds and all di~t, rubbish, and ~ank growths of any kind, on private property or in any s~rcet or alley or public right of way in the City, shall constitute a public nuisance. "Eve~./ property owner, lessee or occupant of buildings, g~ounds or lots, shall destroy or remove weeds, dirt, rub- Dish, and/or rank growths from the property, buildings, grounds or lots and from the half of the street, alley or public right of way on which the property abuts, in accor- dance with the procedures prescribed in this article. "For the purposes of this article, the following defini- tions shall apply: II (1) 'Weeds' includes any of the following: II (a) vJeeds which bear seeds of a downy or wingy nature.
