J-' N o. / ,- ]lli ORDINANCE FIXING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS REVENUE TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS DEPART~iliNTS OF SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1965-1966 TO PAY THE BO~~ED I~~EBTED~~SS OF SAID CITY FALLING DUE Ai\TD BECOMING PAYABLE DURING SAID FISCAL YEAR TOGETHER WITH TBE INTEREST THEREON, TO MAINTAIN THE PUBLIC LIBRARY OF SAID CITY DURING SAID FISCAL YEAR, TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR THE RETIREMENT PLAN, AND FIXING AND LEVYING THE TAX RATE THEREFOR THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The total amount of money to be raised by taxa- tion upon the taxable property within the City of Redwood City to provide revenue to meet the general municipal expenses and to ,carry on the various departments of said City for the fiscal year July 1, 1965 ~ June 30, 1966; to pay the interest and princi- pal upon all of the outstanding bonded indebtedness of said City, due and becoming payable during said fiscal year; to maintain the public library of said City during said fiscal year; and to provide funds for the City's contribution to the retirement plan voted at the municipal election on April 9, 1940; is hereby fixed at the total sum of Two Million, Fifty-three Thousand, Three Hundred and Thirty-five Dollars ($2,053,335.00). SECTION 2. The following general and special tax rates for the areas hereinafter set forth are hereby levied and fixed for the fiscal year July 1, 1965-June 30, 1966, to raise the total revenues set forth in Section 1 hereof in the amounts set forth, herein as follows, to wit: (a) One Million, Six Hundred Twelve Thousand, Seven Hundred and Ninety-one Dollars ($1,612,791.00) to meet the general munici- pal expenses during said fiscal year and for deposit in the General Fund of said City, and the general municipal tax rate therefor is hereby levied and fixed at $1.3498 on each One Hundred Dollars
