<br />RJC.ek 1/11/65-7 <br /> <br />ORD1.NANCE <br /> <br />11~"" <br />N 0: · ~ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 405 AND 812 OF ORDINANCE <br />NO. 1128, THE REDWOOD CITY GENERAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT <br />ORDINANCE, TO CHANGE FROM TWO THIRDS TO A MAJORITY THE <br />REQUISITE NUMBER OF VOTES BY REGISTERED VOTERS FOR <br />APPROVAL OF DISTRICT GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS, AND TO <br />SUBSTITUTE THE OFFICE OF THE COUNTY ASSESSOR IN PLACE <br />OF COUNTY RECORDER FOR THE FILING BY UTILITY COMPANIES <br />OF REQUESTS FOR MAILED NOTICE <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Section 405 of Ordinance No. 1128, the Redwood <br /> <br />city General Improvement District Ordinance, adopted March 9, <br /> <br />1964, is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Secti.on 405. Mail. Whenever notice is required <br />to be given by mail and the time or method for mailing <br />is not specified, the notice shall be given by first <br />class mail, postage prepaid, to all owners in the area <br />of the district or proposed district, whose property is <br />affected by the notice, cumulatively, as follows: <br /> <br />(a) To the names and addresses appearing on the <br />last equalized assessment roll on which district taxes <br />are or may be collected, including the roll of state <br />assessed property in the district, if any, filed by the <br />State Board of Equalization with the county or city as <br />provided by lawi <br /> <br />(b) If the title to any parcel has since been <br />transferred, to the names and addresses shown in infor- <br />mation in the assessor's office from which the next roll <br />will be madei <br /> <br />(c) To utility companies who have filed notice <br />with the county assessor pursuant to Government Code, <br />Section 58900 et seq.i and <br /> <br />(d) To the persons at their addresses as filed <br />with or known to the clerk." <br /> <br />SECTION 2. Section 812 of the abovementioned ordinance <br /> <br />is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 812. Votes Required. l'lhen the vote is by <br />registered voters and a majority of the votes cast for <br />any measure are in favor thereof such measure shall be <br />approved, or when the vote is by landowners and a majority <br />of the votes cast for any measure is in favor thereof such <br />measure shall be approved and bonds of the district or <br />improvement district may be issued and sold as herein <br />provided." <br /> <br />SECTION 3.
