<br />MAR 9 1990 <br /> <br />MAR 1 9 1990_ <br /> <br />11 2 3 9 ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />RESOLUTION HONORING PAULA UCCELLI FOR HER OUTSTANDING COMMUNITY SERVICE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Paula Uccelli is the esteemed recipient of our community's most <br />distinguished awards including the Soroptomist Woman of the Year in 1988, the <br />Athena Business Woman of the year presented by the Redwood City/San Mateo County <br />Chamber of Commerce in 1989, and the Citizen of the Year Award sponsored by the <br />American Legion Post 105 and the Peninsula Times Tribune for 1989; and <br />WHEREAS, Paula Uccelli has served our community with distinction in a wide <br />variety of public service organizations as a member, an officer and fund raiser <br />for the Marine Ecological Institute, Sequoia Yacht Club, Peninsula Yacht Club, <br />San Mateo County Economic Development Association, PCA, Special Olympics, <br />Kainos, Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, Humane Society, Casa de Redwood, <br />Native Daughters of the Golden West, Salvation Army, Emergency Hunger Fund, <br />Easter Seal Society and the Peninsula Ballet Theater to name a few; and <br />WHEREAS, these years of service have been marked by exemplary dedication to <br />the best interests of the community as she has worked constantly for the <br />betterment of its economic, cultural and aesthetic development; and <br />WHEREAS, Paula Uccelli, a resident of Redwood City for thirty-five years, <br />has earned the respect of other civic leaders and the affection of a host of <br />area residents who have had the pleasure of meeting her and working with her on <br />community service projects and as Assistant Harbor Master at Pete's Harbor; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, I, JACK H. GREENALCH, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, on <br />behalf of the City Council, do hereby extend our deep appreciation to PAULA <br />UCCELLI for her outstanding contributions to the citizens of Redwood City and <br />wish her continued success in all future endeavors. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br />
