<br />CES:dj~ 03/01/90 (023/27) <br />CES:d~ 03/05/90R <br />"'i] .'\ G '" h 1'990 <br />hzr\i\ v <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />11238 <br /> <br />0f1,rJV <br />,..",i. i <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REJECTING BID FOR CONTRACT FOR LIBRARY <br />LANDSCAPE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT, DIRECTING RETURN OF <br />BID SECURITIES PERTAINING THERETO, AUTHORIZING <br />MODIFICATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS THEREFOR, <br />AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING READVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 11203, adopted January <br /> <br />8, 1990, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the Redwood City <br /> <br />Library Landscape Improvements Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in response to said advertisement, two bids were <br /> <br />received; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council has concluded that it is in the public <br /> <br />interest to reject said bids, to authorize the modification of <br /> <br />the plans and specifications in consideration of the increasing <br /> <br />need for water conservation, and to authorize and direct the <br /> <br />readvertisement for bids for said project; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bids received pursuant to advertisement for bids <br /> <br />authorized by Resolution No. 11203, adopted January 8, 1990 for <br /> <br />the Redwood City Library Landscape Improvements Project, are <br /> <br />hereby rejected, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and <br /> <br />directed to return to said bidder the bid security furnished with <br /> <br />its bid. <br /> <br />2. The Engineering Division of the Community Development <br /> <br />Department of the City of Redwood City is hereby authorized and <br /> <br />directed to modify the plans and specifications for this project, <br />
