<br />CES:DJM -0/25/89 (091/#25) <br /> <br />OCT 3.01989 <br /> <br />UrilGiNAL <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N Q.1-Ll76 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH PENINSULA CONFLICT RESOLUTION CENTER, <br />INC., FOR IMPROVING NEIGHBORHOOD AND COMMUNITY <br />COMMUNICATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, peninsula Conflict Resolution Center, Inc., a <br /> <br />non-profi t corporation of the State of California, hereinafter <br /> <br />known as "Contractor", is presently engaged in the operation of a <br /> <br />community boards program whose purpose is improving neighborhood <br /> <br />and community communication, in furtherance of the public order, <br /> <br />health and welfare in the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , City of Redwood City, a municipal corporation of <br /> <br />the State of California ("City"), desires to participate in said <br /> <br />program by contributing financial assistance to aid Contractor in <br /> <br />providing the above-mentioned services to residents of the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has represented to City that it is <br /> <br />qualified and experienced to perform said services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council for <br /> <br />approval an agreement between the City of Redwood City and <br /> <br />Peninsula Conflict Resolution Center, Inc., wherein the City <br /> <br />shall provide Twenty-two Thousand and No/lOO Dollars ($22,000.00) <br /> <br />during the fiscal year from July 1, 1989 through June 30, 1990, <br /> <br />and it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve the <br /> <br />same; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> <br />REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement (form dated 10/24/89), by and between <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City and peninsula Conflict Resolution <br />
