<br />DES:dj' lO/24/89 (02l/26) <br />Gi;,iGlr~AL <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. ~~ 1 1 7 5 <br /> <br />OCT 3 ,0 1989 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PURCHASE OF DECORATIVE TRAFFIC <br />SIGNAL POLES AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING EXECUTION OF <br />PURCHASE DOCUMENTS IN CONNECTION THEREWITH <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a proposal has been submitted to this Council for <br /> <br />the purchase of decorative traffic signal poles to conform to the <br /> <br />design of similar facilities serving the City's Main Library; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.76 of the Redwood City Code, <br /> <br />this Council has suspended the requirements of Article VII of the <br /> <br />Code of the City of Redwood City relating to competitive bidding <br /> <br />for said purchase; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to approve purchase of said <br /> <br />decorative traffic signal poles; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />l. The proposal of Associated Lighting Representatives, <br /> <br />Inc., of Oakland, California to sell two decorative traffic <br /> <br />signal poles for the purchase price of Twelve Thousand <br /> <br />Eighty-nine and No/100 Dollars ($12,089.00), which poles shall <br /> <br />conform to the design heretofore established for similar <br /> <br />facilities in the location of the Main Library, is hereby <br /> <br />approved. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />execute a purchase order or other appropriate purchase documents <br /> <br />(in form approved by the City Attorney) necessary or appropriate <br /> <br />to carry out the purchase hereby approved. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br />
