<br />DES:djv 08/21/89 (Ol3/26) <br />SEP 11 1989 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N 0.11134 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CERTIFYING THE FINAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />REPORT FOR THE SAN MATEO COUNTY HAZARDOUS WASTE <br />MANAGEMENT PLAN, FINDING NO SIGNIFICANT ENVIRONMENTAL <br />IMPACTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the policy of the State of California and the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City, California as provided in the provisions of <br /> <br />the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970, as amended, <br /> <br />and the provisions of Title XIV, California Code of Regulations, <br /> <br />establishing Guidelines for Implementation of the California <br /> <br />Environmental Quality Act of 1970 <br /> <br />(hereinafter "CEQA" and <br /> <br />"Guidelines", respectively), that the City should not approve a <br /> <br />project if it would result in a significant environmental impact <br /> <br />if there are alternatives or feasible mitigation measures <br /> <br />available which would substantially lessen the significant <br /> <br />effects of such projects; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Report <br /> <br />(hereinafter "DEIR") analyzing the potential significance of <br /> <br />impacts associated with the proposed Hazardous Waste Management <br /> <br />Plan has been prepared and circulated, <br /> <br />pursuant to the <br /> <br />requirements of CEQA, <br /> <br />the Guidelines, <br /> <br />and County-adopted <br /> <br />objectives and procedures for the evaluation of projects and the <br /> <br />preparation of Environmental <br /> <br />Impact Reports <br /> <br />and Negative <br /> <br />Declarations, pursuant to CEQA; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, prior to action on final approval of the San Mateo <br /> <br />County Hazardous Waste Management Plan, this Council must certify <br /> <br />the DEIR as being complete, correct and adequate, and prepared in <br /> <br />accordance with all applicable State and local guidelines, and <br />
