<br />(CES:d;m 08/22/89 (25/059) <br />AUG to. d 1989 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N 0.11131 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE FURNISHING OF <br />ASPHALT CONCRETE MATERIALS FOR 1989-1990 FISCAL YEAR, <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT THEREFOR~ AND <br />DIRECTING RETURN OF BID SECURITY PERTAINING THERETO <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 11095 adopted July 24, <br /> <br />1989, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the furnishing <br /> <br />of asphalt concrete materials for 1989-1990~ and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in response to said advertisement, bids were <br /> <br />received and filed with the City Clerk for the furnishing of said <br /> <br />materials~ and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Granite Rock Company, Redwood City, California, is <br /> <br />the lowest responsible bidder for the furnishing of said <br /> <br />materials, and it is the desire and intention of this Council to <br /> <br />award said bid to Granite Rock Company, of Redwood City, <br /> <br />California; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE~ <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Granite Rock Company, of Redwood City, <br /> <br />California, in the amount of One Hundred Twenty-nine Thousand <br /> <br />Four Hundred Fifty-nine and 30/100 Dollars ($129,459.30), more or <br /> <br />less. for the furnishing of asphalt concrete materials for the <br /> <br />1989-1990 Fiscal Year, in accordance with the bidder's proposal, <br /> <br />dated August 15, 1989, and in accordance with the specifications <br /> <br />therefor on file in the office of the City Clerk, is hereby <br />accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the <br /> <br />lowest responsible bidder for the furnishing of said materials. <br />
