LUl39 <br /> <br />MAY 2 2 lY89 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR THE VETERANS BOULEVARD <br />BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF <br />SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 11018, adopted by the <br /> <br />City Council of the City of Redwood City on April 17, 1989, the <br /> <br />Ci ty Clerk called for bids for the Veterans Boulevard Bridge <br /> <br />Replacement Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, four bids were received for <br /> <br />the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, R. M. Harris Company, Concord, California, is <br /> <br />the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire <br /> <br />of this Council to award said bid to R. M. Harris Company. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of R. M. Harris Company, in the sum of One <br /> <br />Million Fifty-two Thousand Nine Hundred Sixty-three and No/100 <br /> <br />Dollars ($1,052,963.00), computed in accordance with bidder's <br /> <br />proposal dated May 16, 1989, for the Veterans Boulevard Bridge <br /> <br />Replacement Project, is hereby found and declared to be the <br /> <br />lowest bid for said work. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City that <br /> <br />certain agreement entitled "Agreement - Veterans Boulevard Bridge <br /> <br />Replacement Project" by and between the City of Redwood City and <br /> <br />R. M. Harris Company, for the performance of said work in <br />
