<br />DAS:mmg 04/20/89 (#23/111) <br /> <br />APR 2 4 1999 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />11028 <br /> <br />Of1iGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT <br />PROJECT 1988-89 (INCLUDING ADDENDUMS FOR BROADWAY WATER <br />MAIN IMPROVEMENTS); AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT <br />FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY <br />DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 11003, adopted by the <br /> <br />City Council of the City of Redwood City on March 20, 1989, the <br /> <br />City Clerk called for bids for Water Main Improvement Project <br /> <br />1988-89; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, addendums for Broadway Water Main Improvements work <br /> <br />were added to the plans and specifications for said project by <br /> <br />the City on April 5, 1989; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the call for said work, eight bids were <br /> <br />received and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, West Valley Construction Company, Inc., San Jose, <br /> <br />California, is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the <br /> <br />intention and desire of this Council to award said bid to West <br /> <br />Valley Construction Company, Inc. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of West Valley Construction Company, Inc., in <br /> <br />the sum of Six Hundred Twenty-six Thousand Two Hundred Sixty-two <br /> <br />and No/100 Dollars ($626,262.00), computed in accordance with <br /> <br />bidder's proposal dated April 18, 1989, for Water Main Improvement <br /> <br />Project <br /> <br />(including <br /> <br />addendums <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />Broadway <br /> <br />Water <br /> <br />Main <br /> <br />Improvements), is hereby found and declared to be the lowest bid <br /> <br />\U28 <br />
