MONROE) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City owns certain surplus property consisting <br /> <br />of approximately 47,300 square feet of synthetic turfgrass; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said property was formerly used as a practice <br /> <br />playing field surface for a professional football franchise; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this City desires initially to test market the <br /> <br />sales of said property fabricated into small units as a novelty; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, James A. Monroe of San Mateo represents that he is <br /> <br />qualified to conduct such test marketing program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to and reviewed by this <br /> <br />Council an agreement providing for said test marketing program; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement entitled "Agreement <br /> <br />Surplus <br /> <br />Property Marketing" (form dated 04/12/89R), by and between the <br /> <br />Ci ty of Redwood City, a municipal corporation of the State of <br /> <br />California and James A. Monroe, providing for a test marketing <br /> <br />program of the above-described surplus property, a copy of which <br /> <br />agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which <br /> <br />copy reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is <br /> <br />hereby approved, and the City Manager is hereby authorized and <br /> <br />directed to execute said agreement for and on behalf of the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />.11U19 <br />
