3/8/99 <br /> - ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13579 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE STAFFORD PARK <br /> PLAY AREA RENOVATIONS; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF <br /> SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 13541, adopted January 25, <br />1999, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the Stafford Park Play Area <br />Renovations in the City of Redwood City, California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, seven bids were received for <br />the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, A.V.& C. Construction, Inc. of San Bruno, California, is the <br />lowest responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />award said bid to A.V.& C. Construction, Inc.; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of A.V.& C. Construction, Inc. in the amount of Four Hundred <br />Fifty Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($450,000.00), computed in accordance with <br />bidder's proposal dated February 17, 1999 for the Stafford Park Play Area <br />Renovations, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared <br />to be the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br /> 2.
