<br />DAS:mma 01/04/89 (#23/058) <br />DES:rn 01/16/89R(#23/058) <br /> <br />JAN 1 6 1989 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />!i o.1JUl6 4 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR 1988-89 SIDEWALK REPAIR AND ORIGINAL <br />TREE PROGRAM; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR <br />SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 10941, adopted by the <br /> <br />City Council of the City of Redwood City on November 28, 1988, <br /> <br />the City Clerk called for bids for 1988-89 Sidewalk Repair and <br /> <br />Tree Program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, four bids were received for <br /> <br />the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Whiteside Construction, San Rafael, California, is <br /> <br />the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire <br /> <br />of this Council to award said bid to Whiteside Construction. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Whiteside Construction, in the sum of <br /> <br />Three Hundred Ninety Nine Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty-eight and <br /> <br />02/100 Dollars <br /> <br />($399,958.02), computed in accordance with <br /> <br />bidder's proposal (dated December 20, 1988) for 1988-89 Sidewalk <br /> <br />Repair and Tree Program, is hereby found and declared to be the <br /> <br />lowest bid for said work. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City that <br /> <br />certain agreement entitled "Agreement 1988-89 Sidewalk Repair and <br /> <br />Tree program" by and between the City of Redwood City and <br /> <br />Whiteside Construction, for the performance of said work in <br /> <br />10964 <br />
