0 R I G I N A L _ 1/25/99 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13543 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE MANHOLE RAISING <br /> PROJECT 1998/1999; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF <br /> SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 13523, adopted December 7, <br />1998, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the Manhole Raising Project <br />1998/1999 in the City of Redwood City, California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, four bids were received for <br />the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, S.G. Barber Construction, Inc. of Belmont, California is the <br />lowest responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />award said bid to S.G. Barber Construction, Inc.; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of S.G. Barber Construction, Inc. in the amount of Sixty-three <br />Thousand Two Hundred Fifty and No/100 Dollars ($63,250.00), computed in <br />accordance with bidder's proposal dated December 23, 1998 for the Manhole <br />Raising Project 1998/1999, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found <br />and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br /> 2.
