<br />DAS:mmrr 8/19/88 (#23/022) <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />10862 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />AUG 2 2 1988 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR ASBESTOS REMOVAL FROM FAIR <br />OAKS COMMUNITY CENTER, POLICE FACILITY AND SCHABERG <br />LIBRARY; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID <br />WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 10821, adopted by the <br /> <br />City Council of the City of Redwood City on July 11, 1988, the <br /> <br />City Clerk called for bids for asbestos removal from Fair Oaks <br /> <br />Community Center, Police Facility and Schaberg Library; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, one bid was received for the <br /> <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Precision Works, Inc., Palo Al to, California, is <br /> <br />the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire <br /> <br />of this Council to award said bid to Precision Works, Inc.. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Precision Works, Inc., in the sum of Forty <br /> <br />One Thousand Four Hundred Fifty and No/100 Dollars ($41,450.00), <br /> <br />computed in accordance with bidder's proposal for asbestos <br /> <br />removal from Fair Oaks Community Center, Police Facility and <br /> <br />Schaberg Library, is hereby found and declared to be the lowest <br /> <br />bid for said work. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Palo Alto that <br /> <br />certain agreement entitled "Agreement Asbestos Removal from Fair <br /> <br />Oaks Community Center, Police Facility and Schaberg Library" by <br /> <br />and between the City of Palo Alto and Precision Works, Inc., for <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />performance <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />work <br /> <br />in <br /> <br />accordance <br /> <br />with <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />10862 <br />
