<br />DAS: d::i.k 08/04/88 ( # 2 0 ) <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />10849 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />AUG 8 1988 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE FURNISHING OF <br />ASPHALT CONCRETE FOR 1988-89 FISCAL YEAR; AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT THEREFOR; AND DIRECTING RETURN <br />OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 10822, adopted July 11, <br /> <br />1988, the City Clerk called for bids for the furnishing of <br /> <br />asphalt concrete for 1988-89 Fiscal Year; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and <br /> <br />filed with the City Clerk for the furnishing of said materials; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Granite Rock Company, Redwood City, California, <br /> <br />is the lowest responsible bidder for the furnishing of said <br /> <br />materials, and it is the intention of this Council to award said <br /> <br />bid to Granite Rock Company; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Granite Rock Company, in the amount of <br /> <br />One Hundred Twenty-two Thousand Six Hundred Forty and 08/100 <br /> <br />Dollars ($122,640.08), more or less, for the furnishing of <br /> <br />asphalt concrete for 1988-89 Fiscal Year in accordance with the <br /> <br />bidder's proposal, dated August 2, 1988, and in accordance with <br /> <br />the specifications therefor on file in the office of the City <br /> <br />Clerk, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and <br />declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for the furnishing <br /> <br />of said materials. <br /> <br />10849 <br />
