<br />SWC : r'l i k 07 / 1 9 / 8 8 ( # 2 1) OOpy <br />JUl 2 5 ~ <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />No.10833 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHIEF OF POLICE TO ISSUE PERMIT <br />FOR THE BACK ON TRACK FUN RUN <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Vehicle Code Sections 21100 and 21101, <br /> <br />respectively, local authorities, by resolution, may adopt rules <br /> <br />and regulations regulating processions or assemblages on streets <br /> <br />under their jurisdiction, and temporarily closing a portion of <br /> <br />any street for celebrations, parades, local special events and <br /> <br />other purposes when deemed necessary for the safety and <br /> <br />protection of persons who are to use that portion of the street <br /> <br />during the temporary closing; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Sequoia YMCA has requested that this Council <br /> <br />permit them to conduct the Back on Track Fun Run ("FUN RUN"), in <br /> <br />and along certain hereinafter described City rights-of-way on <br /> <br />August 28, 1988, at 8:30 a.m. and concluding at 10:30 a.m., and <br />it is the intent and desire of this Council to permit the Sequoia <br /> <br />YMCA to conduct said FUN RUN, and to close rights-of-way, as <br /> <br />hereinafter set forth; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. This Council does hereby grant to the Sequoia YMCA the <br /> <br />right to conduct the FUN RUN in the City of Redwood City on <br /> <br />August 28, 1988, and does hereby authorize and direct the Chief <br /> <br />of Police to issue a permit to the Sequoia YMCA for said purpose. <br /> <br />1 0 833 <br />
