<br />DAS:mmg 7/21/88 (#22/002) <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N o. 1 0 829 <br /> <br />JUl 2 5 1~ <br />01tlG1NAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR COMPREHENSIVE STREET TREE <br />MAINTENANCE PROJECT FOR 1988-89; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF <br />SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 10801, adopted May 23, <br /> <br />1988, the City Clerk called for bids for the Comprehensive Street <br /> <br />Tree Maintenance Project for 1988-89; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, two bids were received for <br /> <br />the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Davey Tree Surgery Company, Livermore, California <br /> <br />is the lowest responsive bidder and it is the intention and <br /> <br />desire of this Council to award said bid to Davey Tree Surgery <br /> <br />Company. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Davey Tree Surgery Company in the sum of One <br /> <br />Hundred Ninty-seven Thousand Two Hundred Sixty-four and lO/100 <br /> <br />Dollars <br /> <br />($197,264.10), for all of said construction work, <br /> <br />computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated June 7, 1988, <br /> <br />is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsive bid for <br /> <br />said work. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City that <br /> <br />certain agreement entitled "Agreement for Comprehensive Street <br /> <br />Tree Maintenance Project for 1988-89", by and between the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City and Davey Tree Surgery Company for the performance <br /> <br />1 0 829 <br />
