' <br />'oJ ,~ <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />10813 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF COMPUTER HARDWARE <br />AND SOFTWARE FOR DEVELOPMENT OF A GEOGRAPHIC <br />INFORMATION SYSTEM <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.76 of the Code <br /> <br />of the City of Redwood City this Council has, on motion duly made <br /> <br />on the affirmative vote of at least five (5) members of said <br /> <br />Council, suspended the requirements of Article VII of Chapter 2 <br /> <br />of said Code relating to the purchase of materials, equipment and <br /> <br />supplies with regard to the purchase hereinafter authorized. <br /> <br />2. This Council does hereby authorize and direct the City <br /> <br />Manager to purchase ARC/Info Geographic Information System <br /> <br />software from Environmental Systems Research Institute, Redlands, <br /> <br />California, at a cost of $31,560; and to purchase a Sun 386i/250 <br /> <br />Geographic Information System work station from Sun Microsystems, <br /> <br />Inc., Palo Alto, California, at a cost of $22,964.00. <br /> <br />3. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />execute all documents required in connection with the purchase <br /> <br />authorized herein for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City; <br /> <br />provided, however, all such documents have first been approved as <br /> <br />to form by the City Attorney. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />10813 <br />
