<br />SWC:.....il 3/21/88 <br /> <br />(#19) <br />APR 4 1988 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N o. 1 0754 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING STREET SUPERINTENDENT TO ABATE <br />WEEDS, DIRT, RUBBISH AND RANK GROWTHS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 10736, adopted by the Council of <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City on March 14, 1988, said Council declared <br /> <br />all weeds, dirt, rubbish and rank growths existing upon private <br /> <br />property within certain areas of the City of Redwood City, and in <br /> <br />and upon the sidewalks, parkways, streets, avenues, roadways, <br /> <br />boulevards, highways and alleys situate within the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City to be a public nuisance; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 10736 ordered a public hearing <br /> <br />to hear any objections to the removal of said weeds, dirt, <br /> <br />rubbish, and rank growths on April 4, 1988; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, due notice of such hearing was given as required by <br /> <br />Article IV, Chapter 14, of the Code of the City of Redwood City; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. All protests, oral and written, to the removal of any <br /> <br />weeds, dirt, rubbish and rank growths and the abatement of same <br /> <br />declared to be a nuisance by Resolution No. 10736 of the Council <br /> <br />of the City of Redwood City are hereby overruled. <br /> <br />2. The Street Superintendent of the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />is hereby directed to remove, or cause to be removed, all weeds, <br /> <br />dirt, rubbish and rank growths declared to be a nuisance by said <br /> <br />Resolution No. 10736, at the expense of the owners of the lots or <br /> <br />property upon which, or in front of which, such nuisance exists. <br /> <br />10754 <br />
