<br />DAP 1:> j 1 3/10/88 ( # 2 2 ) <br />MAR 1 4 1988 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />No.1 0 735 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR TRIMMING OF AMERICAN ELM <br />TREES ALONG EAST OAKWOOD AND WEST OAKWOOD BOULEVARDS; <br />AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Redwood City Code Section 2.65, the <br /> <br />City Manager solicited written bids for the trimming of 19 <br /> <br />American elm trees along East Oakwood and West Oakwood <br /> <br />Boulevards; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said solicitation, three bids were <br /> <br />received for the performance of said work; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Davey Tree Surgery Company, Burlingame, California, <br /> <br />is the lowest responsible bidder, and it is the intention and <br /> <br />desire of this Council to award said bid to Davey Tree Surgery <br /> <br />Company; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Davey Tree Surgery Company, in the lump sum <br /> <br />of Ten Thousand Two Hundred Twenty-Five and No/100 Dollars <br /> <br />($10,225.00), computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated <br /> <br />February 18, 1988, for trimming of 19 American elm trees along <br /> <br />East Oakwood and West Oakwood Boulevards, is hereby found and <br /> <br />declared to be the lowest bidder for said work. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City that <br /> <br />certain agreement entitled "Agreement - Trimming of American Elm <br /> <br />Trees along East Oakwood and West Oakwood Boulevards", by and <br /> <br />between the City of Redwood City and Davey Tree Surgery Company, <br /> <br />for the performance of said work in accordance with the <br /> <br />I 0 735 <br />
