<br />3:nt 11/05/87 (#22) <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />10679 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />NOV 9 1987 <br />(1) <br />OF <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE <br />TELESCOPIC CRANE TRUCK AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />AGREEMENT THEREFOR <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Clerk called for bids for the purchase of <br /> <br />one (1) telescopic crane truck; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, three (3) bids were received <br /> <br />for the purchase of said truck; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Western Traction Company, Union City, California, <br /> <br />is the lowest responsible bidder; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to accept said bid and to <br /> <br />authorize execution of all necessary documents (subject to <br /> <br />approval of the City Attorney as to form) to perfect the <br /> <br />acquisition of said equipment through lease-purchase arrangement <br /> <br />in accordance with the aforesaid bid; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Western Traction Company, in the sum of <br /> <br />Seventy Five Thousand Five Hundred Fifty-four and 29/100 Dollars <br /> <br />($75,554.29), computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated <br /> <br />October 26, 1987, for the sale of one (1) telescopic crane truck <br /> <br />is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared <br /> <br />to be the lowest responsible bidder for said truck. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />execute all documents on behalf of the City of Redwood City for <br /> <br />the purchase of said truck in accordance with the abovementioned <br /> <br />bid proposal, a copy of which proposal is presently on file in <br /> <br />].
