<br />2:nt 10/5/87 (#20) <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />No.I0661 <br /> <br />OCT 1 2 1987 <br />OR\G\NAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH TARGET EDUCATION AND WELFARE COUNCIL, <br />INC. FOR HANDI-PERSON PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Target Education and Welfare Council, <br /> <br />Inc. <br /> <br />("TEWCI"), which is presently engaged in the operation of Senior <br /> <br />Citizen Center Programs at the Fair Oaks Senior Citizen Center, <br /> <br />desires to conduct a Handi-person Program that will provide minor <br /> <br />home repairs to selected residences in the City of Redwood City; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, TEWCI has requested financial assistance in order <br /> <br />to conduct such a program for residents of the City who comply <br /> <br />with income level requirements, during the fiscal year commencing <br /> <br />July 1, 1987 and ending June 30, 1988; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request <br /> <br />and desires to allocate TEWCI the sum of Thirty-Eight Thousand <br /> <br />One Hundred Seventy and No/100 Dollars ($38,170.00) from its <br /> <br />fiscal year 1987-88 Community Development Block Grant funds; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council for <br /> <br />approval an agreement between the City of Redwood City and TEWCI, <br /> <br />and it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve the <br /> <br />same; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />lL 0661 <br />
