ORIGINAL RESOLUTION N O. 1 0587 AUG 10 1987 COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING ARTHUR LEPORE UPOO THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT WHEREAS, Arthur Lepore is retiring as a member of the City Council of Millbrae after having served his city with great distinction for sane 17 years; and WHEREAS, Art I S years of servi ce have been marked by dedi cati on to the best interests of the community as he has worked constantly for the betterment of its econanic, cultural and aesthetic develor::ment, in particular, his interest in government itself has proven to be of great val ue to the City; and WHEREAS, throughout Artis career, he has been honored for both his civic and professional W)rk, having been selected four times to be Mayor of his City by his colleagues on the Millbrae City Council; and WHEREAS, Art has not confined his contributions just to his own City, but has represented all the residents of San Mateo County well by accepting many countywide, regional and statewide appointments as well; and WHEREAS, Artis performance of the duties and responsibilities of a member of the Mill brae City Council has earned him the admiration and high regard of all of those wi th whom he has come in contact as well as the affect ion of his fellow public servants; and WHEREAS, the City Council of Millbrae and his many friends will honor Art with a Retirement Dinner on Thursday, July 30,1987, at the Clarion Hotel; NOW, THE RE FffiE ; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RED1\00D CITY, AS FQLOWS: Thi s Council does hereby commend Arthur Lepore, does hereby congratul ate him on the occasion of his retirenent from the Council of the City of Millbrae and does extend to him and Mary, his wife, its best wishes for many happy and rewardi ng years. ] 0 587
