DES:djk 7/27/87 (#20) JUL 27 1987 RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. 10563 co py RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF INITIATIVE PETITION PROPOSING CERTAIN AMENDMENT TO THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY; ACCEPTING CERTIFICATION OF THE CITY CLERK AS TO THE SUFFICIENCY OF SAID PETITION FOR CONSIDERATION BY THIS COUNCIL; ORDERING SUBMISSION THEREOF TO THE ELECTORS OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AT A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HEREIN CALLED FOR SUCH PURPOSE ON NOVEMBER 3, 1987; AND REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO TO CONSOLIDATE SAID ELECTION WITH THE STATEWIDE GENERAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON SAID DATE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The Council of Redwood City does hereby acknowledge receipt of a petition proposing the amendment hereinafter set forth to the Charter of the City of Redwood City, and does hereby accept the certification of the City Clerk as to the sufficiency of the petition pursuant to the provisions of Elections Code Section 4091. SECTION 2. The Council of Redwood City does hereby order that the proposed Charter amendment hereinafter set forth be submi tted to the electors of the City of Redwood City at a Special Municipal Election to be held on Tuesday, November 3, 1987. All the electors of the City of Redwood City qualified to vote at the Special Municipal Election in the City of Redwood City on November 3, 1987, shall be qualified to vote on the proposed Charter amendment submitted at said election. The polls shall be opened at 7:00 a.m. on said day of election and shall be kept open continuously thereafter until 8:00 p.m. of said day, when the polls shall be closed, except as 10563
