0 R I G I N A L 10/12/98 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13481 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF AGREEMENT FOR BATTERED WOMEN'S EMERGENCY <br /> SHELTER PROGRAM <br /> <br /> (CENTER FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PREVENTION) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Center for Domestic Violence Prevention (Contractor) conducts a <br /> <br />battered women's emergency shelter program for residents of the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />(the Program); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct the <br /> <br />Program during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1998, and ending June 30, 1999; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to <br /> <br />allocate to Contractor, the sum of Ten Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($10,000.00) from <br /> <br />its Community Development Block Grant funds for the foregoing purposes; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been presented to, and <br /> <br />reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> <br /> ~fHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve said <br /> <br />agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That certain agreement entitled, "Agreement for Battered Women's' Emergency <br /> <br /> Shelter Program," (form dated 8/14/98), by and between the City of Redwood City and <br /> <br />the Center for Domestic Violence Prevention, a copy of which agreement is on file in the <br /> <br /> <br />
