0 R I G I N A L 10/12/98 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13480 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF AGREEMENT FOR AT-RISK YOUTH INTERVENTION <br /> PROGRAM <br /> <br /> (POLICE ATHLETIC LEAGUE) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The Police Athletic League (Contractor) conducts an at-risk youth <br />intervention program for residents of the City of Redwood City (the Program); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct the <br /> <br />Program during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1998, and ending June 30, 1999; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City o£ Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to <br /> <br />allocate to Contractor, the sum of Eight Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($8,000.00) from <br /> <br />its Community Development Block Grant funds for the foregoing purposes; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been presented to, and <br /> <br />reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve said <br /> <br />agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That certain agreement entitled, "Agreement for At-risk Youth Intervention <br />Program," (form dated 8/14/98), by and between the City of Redwood City and the Police <br />Athletic League, a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to <br />which copy reference is hereby made for full particulars there&is hereby approved and the <br /> <br /> <br />
