( DAS: sh 9/30/86 Or~IGINAL MAR 1 6 1987 RES 0 L UTI 0 N NO.10454 RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT THE CALIFORNIA STATE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION PERMIT MUNICIPAL RESOURCE CONSULTANTS TO EXAMINE ALL OF THE SALES AND USE TAX RECORDS OF THE SAID BOARD PERTAINING TO SALES AND USE TAXES COLLECTED FOR THE CITY BY THE SAID BOARD; AND CERTIFYING THAT MUNICIPAL RESOURCE CONSULTANTS MEET ALL OF THE CONDITIONS MANDATED BY CALIFORNIA REVENUE AND TAXATION CODE SECTION 7056(b) (1) WHEREAS, pursuant to California Revenue and Taxation Code Sections 7200 et seq., the City of Redwood City has adopted an ordinance which imposes a sales and use tax and provides a measure therefore that can be administered and collected by the California State Board of Equalization ("Board") using the same procedures followed by the Board for administering and collecting the California State sales and use taxes; and WHEREAS, pursuant to California Revenue and Taxation Code Section 7056, the City of Redwood City may designate by resolution any officer, employee or any other person to examine all of the sales and use tax records of the Board pertaining to sales and use tax collected for the City; and WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has entered into an agreement for sales tax audit and information services with the firm of Municipal Resource Consultants, a partnership of John Austin and Allen Charkow; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1.
