ELDON ELLIS UPON THE OCCASION <br />OF HIS SELECTION AS "OUTSTANDING CITIZEN FOR 1986" IN <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Dr. <br /> <br />Eldon Ellis has been <br /> <br />selected as <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />"Outstanding Citizen for 1986" in the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />pursuant to the Outstanding Citizen Award Program sponsored by <br /> <br />Redwood City American Legion Post 105 and the Peninsula Times <br /> <br />Tribune newspaper; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Dr. Ellis is well deserving of the award in that he <br /> <br />has achieved an exemplary record in his chosen profession and <br /> <br />civic activities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, his acti vi ties include serving as President and <br /> <br />Director of the Sequoia Hospital Foundation, serving as a member <br /> <br />of the Board of Directors for the Sequoia Hospital District, <br /> <br />participating as a volunteer with the floating hospital project <br /> <br />known as "Project Hope", and providing numerous services and <br /> <br />assistance <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />local, <br /> <br />state <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />national <br /> <br />American <br /> <br />Heart <br /> <br />Association activities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Dr. Ellis has served as a clinical instructor of <br /> <br />surgery <br /> <br />at <br /> <br />Stanford <br /> <br />University, <br /> <br />visiting <br /> <br />Professor <br /> <br />at <br /> <br />Universities in Peru and Ecuador, and has served on numerous <br /> <br />medical boards; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, underlying his professional and civic achievements <br /> <br />is his firm devotion to family and spiritual beliefs; and <br /> <br />o 04.L~8 <br />
