<br />DAS:sl) 2/18/87 <br /> <br />(#19) <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />No.I0430 <br /> <br />f t B 2 3 1987 <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING INTENTION TO ADOPT RESOLUTION OF <br />NECESSITY WITH RESPECT TO EXERCISE OF THE POWER OF <br />EMINENT DOMAIN, AND SETTING HEARING THEREON <br />(PUBLIC LIBRARY AT MIDDLEFIELD ROAD) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City is authorized to exercise <br /> <br />the power of eminent domain for the acquisition of real property <br /> <br />for public purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, that certain real property hereinafter described is <br /> <br />necessary for the public purpose of acquiring, constructing, <br /> <br />operating <br /> <br />and maintaining <br /> <br />public <br /> <br />library <br /> <br />facilities <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />appurtenances to serve the residents and businesses in the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. This Council hereby declares its intention to adopt a <br /> <br />Resolution of Necessity, pursuant to the provisions of Sections <br /> <br />1245.210 et seq. of the California Code of Civil Procedure, with <br /> <br />respect to the exercise of the power eminent domain for the <br /> <br />acquisition of all that certain real property more particularly <br /> <br />described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, and by this reference <br /> <br />incorporated herein. <br /> <br />2.
