<br />SWC:sp 2/05/87 <br /> <br />(#18) <br /> <br />1 0421 <br /> <br />DRIGjNAl <br />FEB 9 1987 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br />EMPLOYEES <br />ASSOCIATION) <br /> <br />GRANTING <br />(REDWOOD <br /> <br />DISABILITY COVERAGE <br />CITY MANAGEMENT <br /> <br />TO CERTAIN <br />EMPLOYEES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Redwood City Management Employees Association <br /> <br />proposed as part of its labor negotiations with the City that the <br /> <br />unit which it represents be covered by State Disability <br /> <br />Insurance, the regulations of which are located in Part 2 <br /> <br />(commencing with Section 2601), Division 1, of the Unemployment <br /> <br />Insurance Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 710.5 of the Unemployment Insurance Code <br /> <br />permits a public agency to become subject to the aforementioned <br /> <br />provisions if such election is the result of a negotiated <br /> <br />agreement between the public agency and a recognized employee <br /> <br />organization; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council, based upon the recommendation of the <br /> <br />Director of Human Resources, elects to provide such disability <br /> <br />insurance coverage to the employees of the unit represented by <br /> <br />the Redwood City Management Employees Association; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />The City of Redwood City elects to become an employer <br /> <br />subject to Part 2 (commencing with Section 2601), Division 1 of <br /> <br />the Unemployment Insurance Code with respect to employees of the <br /> <br />..'~ <br /> <br />...... <br /> <br /> <br />1 <br />
