0 R I G I N A L 9/21/98 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13465 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF AGREEMENT FOR BOND COUNSEL SERVICES (CITY <br /> HALL CONSTRUCTION FINANCING) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City requires special bond counsel <br />services in connection with proceedings for the issuance of variable rate <br />certificates of participation or other tax-exempt obligations to reimbursement the <br />City for costs associated with the construction of the City's City Hall; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth, Attorneys, represent that <br />they are qualified by training and experience to perform the services of bond <br />counsel; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council desires to approve and authorize the execution <br /> <br />of the hereinafter referenced letter agreement with said bond counsel; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That certain agreement entitled, "Agreement for Legal Services Between <br />the City of Redwood City and Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth, For Bond <br />Counsel Services," dated as of August 1, 1998, by and between the City of <br />Redwood City, a municipal corporation of the State of California, and Stradling <br />Yocca Carlson & Rauth, a professional corporation, for special bond counsel <br />services relating to the issuance of tax-exempt securities for financing the <br /> <br /> Reso-505 1 <br /> G:~sha red,redwood\council <br /> DES:djk <br /> 09/15/98 <br /> <br /> <br />
