9/21/98 <br /> ORIGINAL - <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13462 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF AGREEMENT FOR UNDERWRITING SERVICES (CITY <br /> HALL CONSTRUCTION FINANCING) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in connection with the issuance of tax-exempt securities to <br />reimburse the City of Redwood City for costs associated with the construction of <br />the City's City Hall, the City requires expert underwriting services; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Stone & Youngberg LLC represent that they are qualified by <br />training and experience to provide such services; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council desires to approve and authorize the execution <br /> <br />of that certain hereinafter referenced letter agreement between said underwriters <br /> <br />and the City for such services; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That certain agreement entitled, "Underwriting Agreement," dated as of <br />September 8, 1998, by and between the City of Redwood City, a municipal <br />corporation of the State of California, and Stone & Youngberg LLC providing for <br />underwriting services relating to the issuance of tax-exempt securities for <br />financing the construction of the City's City Hall, a copy of which letter agreement <br />is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made <br />for the full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City Manager and City <br /> <br />Reso-506 1 <br />G:~shared\redwood\co u ncil <br />DES:djk <br />09/15/98 <br /> <br /> <br />
