<br />DAS:sh <br />DAS : sh <br /> <br />II/06/86 <br />11/IO/86R <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />10374 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL: <br />Nav 1 0 1986 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />DETERMINING THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST REQUIRES THE <br />ESTABLISHMENT OF AN UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT ALONG <br />CHESTNUT STREET BETWEEN EL CAMINO REAL AND VETERANS <br />BOULEVARD; DESIGNATING SAID DISTRICT AS UNDERGROUND <br />UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 1986-1; PROVIDING A DESCRIPTION OF <br />SAID DISTRICT; AND STATING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR <br />HEARING OBJECTIONS BY PERSONS INTERESTED IN THE <br />FORMATION OF THE DISTRICT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article II of Chapter 11 of the Code of the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City provides a procedure for the establishment of <br /> <br />underground utility districts wi thin portions of the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of Public Works <br /> <br />have reported to this Council and recommended the establishment <br /> <br />of the hereinafter described underground utility district; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council has reviewed the proposal and <br /> <br />recommendations and has determined that the public interest and <br /> <br />convenience require the establishment of said underground utility <br /> <br />district; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, if the City establishes an underground utility <br /> <br />district, the City of Redwood City under California Public <br /> <br />Utilities Commission rules, will qualify for reimbursements from <br /> <br />utility corporations for a portion of the costs incurred by the <br /> <br />City for undergrounding overhead utilities; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />10374 <br />
