9/21/98 <br /> ._ O R I G I N A L -~ <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13457 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF <br /> ASPHALT-CONCRETE MATERIALS FOR FISCAL YEAR 1998- <br /> 1999; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF PURCHASE <br /> DOCUMENTS THEREFOR <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.65 of the Redwood <br />City Code, the City Manager caused public notice inviting bids to be published <br /> <br />for the purchase of Asphalt-Concrete Materials for Fiscal Year 1998-1999; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said publication, two bids were received; and <br /> WHEREAS, Granite Rock Company of Redwood City, California, and <br /> Raisch Products of San Jose, California are the lowest responsible bidders <br /> (meeting the City's specifications), and it is the intention and desire of this <br /> <br />Council to accept the bids of Granite Rock Company and Raisch Products; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bids of Granite Rock Company in the amount of One Hundred <br />Thirty Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($130,000.00) and Raisch Products in the <br />amount of Forty-five Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($45,000.00), computed in <br />accordance with said bidders' proposals dated August 31, 1998 and September <br />2, 1998 for the purchase of asphalt-concrete materials, which bids are on file in <br />the office of the Director of Public Works Services, to which reference is hereby <br />made for the full particulars thereof, are hereby approved, and said bidders are <br /> <br /> DE$:djk 1 <br />G:Sha red/Redwood/Council <br />Reso-502 <br /> <br /> <br />
