9/21/98 <br /> <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13455 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING INVOICE FOR THE REPLACEMENT <br /> AND/OR REPAIR OF ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION ON FIRE <br /> TRUCK #8020 AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF INVOICE <br /> DOCUMENTS THEREFOR <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.77 of the Redwood <br />City Code, the City Manager authorized repairs to be performed on Fire Truck <br />#8020 by Russett Power Systems & Fire Equipment Service, Inc. ("Contractor"); <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the repairs to be performed were estimated by Contractor to <br />be less than Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, additional work was required to be performed on Fire Truck <br />#8020; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Fire Truck #8020 is an integral part of the City of Redwood <br />City fire fighting capabilities; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the additional work performed on Fire Truck #8020 raised the <br />total amount for the work performed to an amount in excess of Ten Thousand <br />Dollars ($10,000); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to accept the <br /> invoice dated August 18, 1998, of Russett Power Systems and Fire Equipment <br /> Service, Inc.
