<br />DES:djc 8/1/86 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />10296 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />AUG 4 1986 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY PROPOSING <br />CERTAIN AMENDMENTS TO THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY AND ORDERING SUBMISSION THEREOF TO THE <br />ELECTORS OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AT A SPECIAL <br />MUNICIPAL ELECTION HEREIN CALLED FOR SUCH PURPOSE ON <br />NOVEMBER 4 , 1986; AND REQUESTING THE BOARD OF <br />SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO TO CONSOLIDATE <br />SAID ELECTION WITH THE STATEWIDE GENERAL ELECTION TO BE <br />HELD ON SAID DATE <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The Council of Redwood City does hereby propose, <br /> <br />on its own motion, that those certain amendments hereinafter set <br /> <br />forth be made to the Charter of the City of Redwood City, and <br /> <br />does hereby order that such proposed Charter amendments be <br /> <br />submitted to the electors of the City of Redwood City at a <br /> <br />Special Municipal Election to be held on Tuesday, November 4, <br /> <br />1986. <br /> <br />All the electors of the City of Redwood City qualified to <br />vote at the Special Municipal Election in the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City on November 4, 1986, shall be qualified to vote on the <br /> <br />proposed Charter amendments submitted at said election. <br /> <br />The polls shall be opened at 7:00 a.m. on said day of <br /> <br />election and shall be kept open continuously thereafter until <br /> <br />8:00 p.m. of said day, when the polls shall be closed, except as <br />provided in Section 14301 of the Elections Code, and the election <br /> <br />officers shall thereupon proceed to canvass the ballots cast <br /> <br />thereat. <br /> <br />Where a voting system is used at said Special Municipal <br /> <br />Election, the provisions of Chapter 3 (commencing with Section <br /> <br />10296 <br />
