ORIGINAL (090502) <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> San Mateo County Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) - <br /> <br /> Rotating Shelter and Day Center <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this I~/~day of.~,~, <br />2002, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("City") and San Mateo County Interfaith <br />Hospitality Network (iHN) - Rotating Shelter and Day Center, a California nonprofit <br />organization ("Contractor") (collectively the "Parties"); <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor provides a rotating shelter in churches and synagogues <br />and a day center for homeless families through the use of an extensive network of <br />volunteers; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct <br />the program described in the attached Exhibit A, which is incorporated herein by this <br />reference (the "Program"), for residents of City during the fiscal year commencing July <br />1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed said request; finds that providing the <br />financial assistance will benefit Redwood City and its citizens; and, desires to allocate <br /> <br />to Contractor the sum of Five Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($5,000); <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum of Five <br />Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($5,000) for exclusive use by Contractor during the fiscal <br />year commencing July 1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003, solely for the purposes <br />described in Paragraph 2. <br /> <br /> 2. USE OF FUNDS. Contractor will use the funds provided pursuant to <br />Paragraph 1 solely for the Program purposes. <br /> <br /> <br />
