ORIGINAL <br /> (090502) <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> Mills-Peninsula Senior Focus (RSVP) <br /> <br />2002, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("City") and Mills-Peninsula Senior Focus (RSVP), <br />a California nonprofit organization ("Contractor") (collectively the "Parties"); <br /> <br /> WlTNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor provides volunteer opportunities for people age 55 and <br />older with a myriad of experience and interests from all economic, educational, and <br />social backgrounds; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct <br />the program described in the attached Exhibit A, which is incorporated herein by this <br />reference (the "Program"), for residents of City during the fiscal year commencing July <br />1,2002, and ending June 30, 2003; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed said request; finds that providing the <br />financial assistance will benefit Redwood City and its citizens; and, desires to allocate <br /> <br />to Contractor the sum of Three Thousand Five Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($3,500); <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum of <br />Three Thousand Five Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($3,500) for exclusive use by <br />Contractor during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003, <br />solely for the purposes described in Paragraph 2. <br /> <br /> 2. USE OF FUNDS. Contractor will use the funds provided pursuant to <br />Paragraph 1 solely for the Program purposes. <br /> <br /> 3. CHANGES TO PROGRAM. No changes in the Program described in this <br />Agreement which are funded by the financial assistance provided under Paragraph 1 <br />will be made without the prior written consent of City. <br /> <br /> <br />
