<br />DAS:djc 6/20/86 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />10239 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />JUN 2 3 1986 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR STREET RESURFACING, 1985 - <br />86; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID <br />WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 10191, adopted April 28, <br /> <br />1986, the City Clerk called for bids for Selected Street <br /> <br />Resurfacing 1985-86; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for the <br /> <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, W.G. Lewis, Inc., San Carlos, California, is the <br /> <br />lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of <br /> <br />this Council to award base bid as well as alternatives 1-4 and 5A <br /> <br />to said W.G. Lewis, Inc.; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of W. G. Lewis, Inc. in the sum not to exceed <br /> <br />One Million Two Hundred Twenty-one Thousand Six Hundred Ninety <br /> <br />and 22/100 Dollars ($1,221,690.22), computed in accordance with <br /> <br />bidder's proposal dated June 3, 1986, for Selected Street <br /> <br />Resurfacing 1985-86, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby <br /> <br />found and declared to be the lowest bidder for said work. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City that <br /> <br />certain agreement entitled "Agreement," by and between the City <br /> <br />lO~;j9 <br />
